Another great purchase

I wanted to be more organized with my laundry duties. I usually do laundry once or twice a week and make sure to wash everyone's dirty clothes on each day. I would go gather all the clothes and just plop it in the laundry room and strenuously pick out the clothes to sort them as I did each load.

Then, I thought of an idea. I went out and bought this organizer at Wal-mart. I think it was under $10. What I do now is, once or twice a week I have the kids bring their dirty clothes in from their rooms and sort them into these baskets. Dark, colored, and lights. It works out great! Usually one whole section is a load.

Each child has his/her own basket in their rooms. So, as I get each load out of the dryer I have me or one of my kids take it into my room. I fold it right then and put the clothes into each child's basket. When the laundry is all done, they come and get their own baskets and take them to their rooms.

I just wanted you to know of this thing that has helped so much in my laundry organization. :)

We love it!

We got a new lawn mower! We have a riding lawn mower, but it jolted too much and seemed overwhelming for me to handle. Wes works so much, and when he gets off he just wants to spend time with the fam. Not mow the lawn.
We wanted to get a battery operated mower, because it is more green. We were searching all over and this is what we found...

It is a great workout to mow the lawn now.
It is great for the environment, no gas, noise pollution, or battery charging.
The blade is sharp and gives a clean cut.
It takes up hardly any room in the garage, the handle folds forward.
It scatters the grass evenly and there is no clean up.

I'm excited for the next time I have to mow my lawn. Last time I mowed the front and Wes mowed the back. It's nice to just listen to my music and get a great workout at the same time. :)

Memorial Day Weekend

We went up in the mountains this year with Wes's family. I played paint ball for the first time, it was a blast. All the cousins that had been playing went to lunch. Wes, his brother & fiance and I played our own little game. We made up the rules. It was pretty funny. One of the games the guys were moving targets. We hadn't been shot the whole time, so at the end Whitney and I stood there and got shot. We just wanted to say we had been shot by a paint ball. :)
Byron got sick up there for like 24 hours. It was sad and nerve racking. It was a good 24 hours before he could keep anything down. Ethan and Lilly had a blast. I love building memories as a family. We did four wheeling, ate good food, played fun games, and spent good quality time with family.
