Stock up Now

I love this time of year, when produce is cheap. I have been stocking up and freezing corn, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and peaches.The other day I made some freezer jam with my sister too. I haven't had much time to can this year.  I love local affordable produce. If you haven't bought much, I encourage you to do so. Now is a great time to get a lot of bang for your buck.

Calm Down

Byron has had a loose front tooth for like over a month now. We have been encouraging him to wiggle it. A few times he barely let me tug on it with a paper towel and Wes got him to put dental floss on it a few times. By tonight it was just dangling. Tonight was the night. He moped around crying and being so dramatic. I know it hurts, but he was acting like it was the end of the world. Finally Wes had to hold him and just pull it. He was freaking out!
We finally got it out and Byron almost passed out he was crying so bad. He's like "I feel weird". I'm glad that's over. Now on to the next tooth. What a traumatic experience for the little guy. He was so brave with the other two. He let me just yank them out with a paper towel.

Soccer Season

Our boys play soccer in the Fall and Spring. We just started games last week. It is so good for them, to be part of a team and be disciplined in that way. Byron has had to cut back to one day a week for his Karate. The older our kids get, the busier we will get with various things they are doing. We will try not to push them too much and just carefully plan out what they want to be involved in.
This soccer season Wes and I have had to split up. The boys usually have games at the same time, but at different parks. It's fun for Lil because they have fun toys at both parks. :)
