Byron's a big boy!
Byron is 7 now! We had his first "friend" party this year. It was a lot of work. There were 13 kids (including my 3). I thought my preschool kids were wild. I kind of let them do their own thing, they broke a few of our toys in the process. But, all of them seemed to have a really enjoyable time. They played out in the backyard, they each made their own pizza (they got to roll the dough, put on the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni), they got to frost and decorate two sugar cookies as well. We opened presents and some of them watched a bit of Dennis the menace. I think next year I will probably just either make dinner for them or order Pizza.
My back was killing me after everyone left. I laid down and then I stood up and I felt so dizzy. My world was spinning. It was so hard to take care of my kids that night. (Wes has been working 15 hour days). I finally had to interrupt his work and he had to put the kids to bed for me. I had to go to sleep. It was 7:45. I slept from then until the next morning. I hope this back pain will eventually go away. It's really cramping my style.

Nightmares

Last night Byron had a nightmare. Our kids rarely have bad dreams, I don't know if Ethan has ever had a bad dream. It's funny because Byron doesn't get out of his bed, he just says, "Mom!? Dad!?" really loud. He got in our bed for a few minutes and then I made a bed for him on the ground at the end of our bed.
Growing up I usually had my own room and whenever I would have a bad dream I would whisper to one of my parents while they were sleeping. They would tell me to lay on the ground at the end of their bed. It's so funny how much comfort I got just being by my parents after being soooo afraid of what I just dreamed about.
I think there are a lot of things I do that my parents did with me growing up. I guess this is one of them now. Hopefully our kids won't have too many bad dreams in the future, but if they do. They get the floor. I can't sleep with kids in our bed. :)

I like to go to lds.org and see what they have to offer regularly. I really liked this video and wanted to share with the you.
