We like to get our kids their costumes early each year, so they can dress up in them way before Halloween. Byron will be Captain America and Ethan will be Wolverine. Lilly...we aren't sure yet. We just dressed her up that night in a Nacho Lebre/boxer look alike costume. I've been stocking up on dress ups for my preschool kids. They love dressing up. I will probably go to D.I. soon, they will probably have a lot this time of year.

Dress ups

Thank you Fireman John!
For my preschool last week I had a guy from the city come teach us about Fire safety. The kids loved it and they said the cutest things. I rarely post things about my preschool for privacy and protection for the kids. I will never post their names or individual pics, but I just wanted to post this cute picture. What a sweet group of kids I have. I love being a preschool teacher! It is hard work, but very rewarding.

Monster bean bag chair
On Monday night we decided to go and get this huge bean bag bed (I guess I should say), it's definitely not a chair. I saw it on KSL. We have been wanting a big bean bag chair for years. I love it. It can fit our whole family. I really enjoy watching TV with the fam now and it's great for my bad back. Wes and I like to watch movies on it and snuggle. We used to just sit on the couch and Wes would message my feet. Now we just cuddle. Wes is probably jumping for joy! :)
My preschool kids love it too. Sadly enough after talking to Wes, he doesn't want them jumping off the other couch onto the bean bag chair. He wants our couches to last. So, I have to break the news to my students. No more jumping off the couch onto the bean bag. They can still jump on the bean bag though. All 12 of them can fit on it. That's how big it is. If any of you are thinking about getting a huge bean bag, I highly recommend it!
Sickly

Well,
I've lasted this long without getting sick. It hit me on Monday, starting with a sore throat and today it is still here consisting of a runny nose and a cough with flem. Nasty! I am feeling a bit better. I have just been taking it way easy and when I have been teaching I have made sure to keep my distance from the kids as much as I can and I have been washing my hands like crazy. No one else in my family has it. It's hard to be sick. I think as a wife, a mother, and a teacher especially. There's days when I don't want to take it easy. I've got stuff to do. But, I guess I have too. ]
I think the hardest was Wednesday night. Wes went to Baptisms for the Dead with mutual and I had to take all three kids to Byron's soccer pics and game while I was sick. I wouldn't mind that much otherwise, but I just wanted to be home in bed. I think being sick really helps me appreciate my health. Hopefully through this sickness my immune system will get stronger and I won't get sick again for the rest of the year! :)

First week of school

I survived my first week of preschool. It has been so rewarding to me to teach those cute little ones. My first day was probably the hardest because I didn't know exactly what to expect. Even though each day is a bit different from the next, my confidence as a teacher is building. Lilly was a pill the first day and today she decided to take her diaper off in the middle of all the kids because she was "wet". At least she is showing true signs of potty training. :)
Byron has loved school. It's such a great experience for him. He's a little bit more mature this year and is a bit more focused about his academics. He loves eating lunch at school. We pack his lunch each night and put it in the fridge for the next day.Byron also started soccer this week. He played really well and made his first goal.
Ethan is still getting used to sharing his mom with the other kids, but still really enjoys being at preschool with all these great friends. He told me tonight that he was pretty sad we weren't having preschool tomorrow. I think it will be nice to have only 3 days a week for preschool and the other days are for preparation and relaxing with the fam. OK, being a mom isn't always relaxing.
All in all this has been an exciting week.
I look forward to next week. I actually get excited each day for preschool. It gets more enjoyable each day as I get the routine down packed. :)
Tata for now.
